Followed by a panel discussion. \nDate: Wednesday February 12th\,\nTime: 10:00-11:30 MST –- 12:00-1:30 EST\nPlace: By Zoom \nSpeaker: \nRyan Manucha is a contributor to the MacDonald Laurier Institute and author of “Booze\, Cigarettes\, and Constitutional Dust-Ups”  a book about interprovincial trade that won the Donner Prize for best book on Canadian public policy. \nPanelists: \n\nTim Sargent.  Dr Tim Sargent is  Senior Fellow and Director of the Domestic Policy Program at the MacDonald-Laurier Institute. He is also a distinguished Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation\, a Waterloo based think tank.\nCarlo Dade. Carlo Dade is one of the country’s leading voices on defending and advancing western Canadian trade interests in Canada and abroad. He leads work on development of a national trade infrastructure plan and renewal of the nation’s trade corridors at the Canada West Foundation.\nModerator:  Peter Josty\, Executive Director\, The Centre for Innovation Studies.\n\nBackground:\nCanada is facing a productivity crisis and removing the barriers to internal trade could increase productivity by as much as 4-7%.
