DESCRIPTION:As baby boomers retire\, many business owners think of selling their business to their employees. Recent changes have made this a much more attractive option\, for both the owner and the employees. \nJoin us for a webinar to learn more about EOTs and how they strengthen the Canadian economy. \nSpeaker\nJoanna Phillips earned an Honours Degree in Business Management specializing in Human Resources and holds a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation. She gained early experience in employee ownership working with ESOP Builders\, building expertise across industries including healthcare\, logistics\, and marketing. As VP at ESOP Builders\, she worked directly with Canadian business owners and their teams on employee ownership planning and implementation. Joanna now works with Rewrite Capital Advisors as Director of the firm’s newly created EO+ Division\, where she continues that work through the firm’s expanded advisory services. \nPanelists \n\nJon Shell is Chair of Social Capital Partners\, a Canadian nonprofit organization founded in 2001\, that does public policy research and advocates for ideas that push back against inequality and broaden access to wealth\, ownership and economic security\nMike Fotheringham is Chief Executive Officer of Taproot Community Support Services.
