Welcome to the THECIS web site. THECIS is a not for profit research company that specializes in innovation and entrepreneurship research, founded in 2001 in Calgary. We operate through a network of about 30 THECIS Fellows.

In recent years we have focused on the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor program, better understanding mid-sized companies in Alberta and have a growing interest in Indigenous entrepreneurship and innovation in Canada’s north.
